We are now into the first full week of the New Year and wish you and yours a healthy, happy and prosperous 2015! Like most, you probably took time over the last few weeks to reflect upon the challenges and rewards of the past year – and to ponder what the New Year will bring.
Such reflection can enhance your awareness and appreciation for your team members’ individual accomplishments and contributions to the organization. It can also highlight opportunities for recognition – and if you have an established employee recognition program this is a perfect fit!
Don’t have an established recognition program? What if you had the means to recognize the individual accomplishments of your staff and team members in a timely and meaningful way? Last year I referenced an article by Sarah White outlining the top 3 employee reward and recognition trends for the coming year – takeaways from the Accelir 2014 Trends Report on Rewards and Recognition.
- HR managers who implement strategic, performance-based rewards programs create a competitive advantage for their companies.
- Senior leaders are starting to realize rewards and recognition programs can benefit both employees and their organizations.
- Companies rebuilding or growing their programs should consider the importance of early recognition, a culture of recognition, and social media integration. By doing so, companies can increase productivity and return on investment as well decrease employee turnover.
These are just as relevant today as they were twelve months ago. As you think about what 2015 will bring, what role might recognition play in improving engagement, productivity and profitability?
At QIC, we recognize employees throughout the year as part of our Rally Rewards program. Awards for teamwork and performance (chosen by peers), attendance, service milestones, community involvement and more are handed out in a social setting. Rally Rewards is exciting for our employees – and rewarding for leadership.
The close of another year brings about a very special award – Rally Champion – honoring QIC’s top annual performer. To be named Rally Champion is a tremendous accomplishment, and during our fourth quarter Rally Rewards luncheon we were pleased to announce Willie Miller (Manager of Distribution) as the 2014 recipient of this award!
Willie is a long-time QIC associate and responsible for Memphis reward fulfillment services. Willie’s extensive experience, positive attitude and customer focus have much to do with QIC’s unmatched reward fulfillment services. Congratulations Willie!
