This Saturday, we celebrate 250 years as a country! Our hope for you and yours is that this weekend will be filled with family, friends, and a little extra pride in the red, white and blue! This is an important milestone (I’m told the technical term is “semiquincentennial”) two and a half centuries in the making!
Back on July 4, 1776, delegates of the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia adopted the Declaration of Independence. It was a document penned by Thomas Jefferson and revised by Benjamin Franklin and John Adams. Like that historic document, our country has stood the test of time and continues to live out the vision of our Founding Fathers.
So, this weekend, as grills are fired up and fireworks brighten the night sky, take a moment between the hot dogs, burgers, and ballgames to reflect on how far our country has come since that bold declaration. Two hundred fifty years of growth is worth celebrating in a big way!
On behalf of the QIC team, happy 250th birthday, America – and Happy 4th of July!
